butter                    1 tsp
milk                      1 cup
salt                      1 pinch

butter can be substituted for oil or any fat. season to taste. add cheese, for a cheese sauce.

* melt butter in a sauce pan.

* combine flour with melted butter making a paste.

* cook until a light golden color, continuously stirring.

* add milk. slowly. continuing to stir.

* cook until the desired consistency.
